Frequently Asked Questions
What is network diagnostic?
Network diagnostic tools help you analyze connectivity, latency, packet loss, and routing paths. Common tools include Ping, TCP Ping, Traceroute, and MTR.
What is the difference between Ping and TCP Ping?
Ping uses ICMP and may be blocked by firewalls. TCP Ping tests connectivity to a specific port via TCP (such as 80/443), making it better for web server checks when ICMP is blocked.
What does MTR show?
MTR combines Traceroute and Ping, continuously probing each hop. It shows per-hop packet loss, average latency, and jitter to help locate where issues occur.
Is this tool free?
Yes, it is completely free. Tests run on distributed nodes in multiple regions and results are returned in real time.
