Important Notes

1
System shortcuts cannot be fully blocked

OS-level shortcuts such as Alt+Tab, the Win key, and Cmd+Q may still work. This is a browser limitation.

2
Three Exit Methods

Click the top-right exit button, long-press ESC for 3 seconds, or wait for the countdown to finish.

3
Best in Fullscreen

Interception works best in fullscreen mode. Some browsers require manual fullscreen permission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does wiping the keyboard trigger shortcuts?

During cleaning, fingers or cloth may press multiple keys at once, which the OS interprets as shortcuts (for example, Ctrl+W closes a tab and Space scrolls the page). This tool intercepts those events at the browser layer to prevent mistakes.

Can this tool fully disable the Win or Cmd key?

No. System-level keys such as Win, Cmd, and Alt+Tab are handled by the OS before the browser can intercept them. This tool blocks all keys that the browser can control, covering most accidental inputs during cleaning.

Why does ESC sometimes fail to exit?

When Keyboard Lock API is active, ESC can be captured by the page. Exit by long-pressing ESC for 3 seconds, clicking the exit button, or waiting for the countdown.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Touch events such as swipes, taps, and multi-touch are intercepted. However, iOS Safari has limited support for fullscreen and Keyboard Lock.

Do I need to install software?

No. Everything runs in the browser on standard Web APIs. No extensions, downloads, or account registration are required.

What cleaning method is recommended?

Use a slightly damp microfiber cloth for surfaces and avoid liquid entering ports. Use compressed air or a soft brush for gaps between keys. For deep cleaning, power off the device first.
